The County Council should consider how it communicates its role as Lead Local Flood Authority, according to a Council Scrutiny Review Panel.
At the moment the Council is limited in its powers to resolve flooding issues. The Council's Cabinet has decided to lobby Government to strengthen the law so the Council can take firmer action.

NEWS RELEASE: Covid vaccination available for limited period for priority groups at three hospital sites
Please find attached a news release regarding Covid-19 vaccinations.
Patients in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, aged 70 years and above or classed as Clinically Extremely Vulnerable are being invited to book a Covid-19 vaccine at one of three hospitals sites.

Criminals are taking advantage of the Covid-19 vaccine rollout through a convincing Scam text to steal people's personal and financial details. The text contains a link that leads to a convincing fake NHS website with an application form. It asks for your bank / card details in order to 'check identity'. The NHS will not ask for payment.
